Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of CivicPulse. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use CivicPulse.

CivicPulse monitors public local-government sources and notifies you when activity — such as zoning changes, permits, ordinances, or council votes — may relate to addresses you choose to monitor. Alerts are generated using automated processing, including AI summarization of public documents.

CivicPulse is an informational tool. Alerts and summaries are provided for general awareness and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. They are not legal, financial, or professional advice and are not a substitute for consulting official government records or a qualified professional. Always verify important matters directly with the relevant government office. You rely on CivicPulse information at your own discretion.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

• Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe.
• Your subscription renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period.
• Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• We may change plan features or pricing with reasonable notice.

If you enable SMS alerts, you consent to receive automated text messages from CivicPulse about government activity near your addresses, sent to the number you verify. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. Message frequency varies based on relevant government activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. For support, email support@civicpulse.cloud. We use Twilio to deliver these messages. Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information; mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Resell, scrape, or redistribute CivicPulse data without permission.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Register phone numbers or addresses you do not own or are not authorized to monitor.

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CivicPulse and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on alerts or information provided. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid to CivicPulse in the twelve months preceding the claim.

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service and its users.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Hawaii, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Hawaii.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
